I’m based in Munich and a number of my home tracks are located around the city. Classic city trails follow the river Isar and the green heart of the city – Englischer Garten – immediately getting you onto intricate trails fully immersed in nature in the midst of a bustling city. If you enjoy wild river swimming, there are plenty of opportunities along the way. Loops around the city are located within an hours drive and I have recently explored fresh trails that take advantage of the local train network (in a separate collection: Train to Trail from Munich).
Individual posts below describe the trails illustrated with lots of photographs. For detailed maps including gps data follow the links to my Komoot Collections.
As this blog has just gone live, I will be adding many more completed trail-run descriptions over the coming weeks.
